12/04/98: In his first career high school game, Gerry McNamara scores 33 points, including six three-pointers, as Bishop Hannan defeats eventual Class AAAA state champion Williamsport, 90-84.

1/16/99: McNamara scores 32 points in a 72-67 win at Dunmore.

1/23/99: After scoring 23 points in a 67-57 win over Solebury Prep, McNamara is awarded game MVP honors at the Lehigh Valley Hoops Festival at Lehigh University.

2/02/99: McNamara matches then career-highs in points (33) and three-pointers (6) in a 90-75 victory over Carbondale.

2/10/99: Bishop Hannan clinches the Lackawanna League Division II championship by beating Scranton Prep 68-61 at the Scranton CYC as Gerry leads all scorers with 26 points.

3/16/99: McNamara sets a new career best in scoring with 35 points and buries six three-pointers in a 94-68 rout of East Stroudsburg Notre Dame in the second-round of the state playoffs. He finishes the game 13-16 from the field, including 6-9 from behind the arc.

3/26/99: In the Class A state championship game, McNamara finishes his freshman season by scoring 21 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter. Bishop Hannan has to settle for second place in the state as they are beaten by defending state-champion Kennedy Christian, 78-51.

12/07/99: In the championship game of the Jerry Finan Memorial Tournament at Carbondale High School, McNamara nails six threes and scores a new career-high 37 points en route to a 91-70 victory over Carbondale and tournament MVP honors.

12/08/99: McNamara matches his output from the previous night as he scores 37 points in a 102-52 romp over Scranton High School at the Scranton CYC.

12/11/99: McNamara dazzles the crowd at the University of Scranton's John Long Center with his no-look passes and scoring ability as the Lancers defeat St. Joseph's Prep from Philadelphia, 97-68. Gerry leads all scorers with 32 points.

12/17/99: In a matchup against national powerhouse St. Anthony's of New Jersey, McNamara scores a game-high 20 points and leads a furious comeback by Bishop Hannan, but the Lancers fall short, 61-50.

1/07/00: In a game against rival Bishop O'Hara, McNamara dominates from the opening tap, scoring 25 points by half-time. He finishes with a career-high 43 points and nails 5 threes as Hannan rolls to a 69-51 victory.

2/04/00: McNamara continues his domination over Carbondale as he scores 34 points in an 87-69 victory.

2/06/00: Against Coatesville, the #1 ranked Class AAAA team in the state, McNamara scores 14 points, including the 1,000th of his career, but the Lancers fall 63-50 in the Lehigh Valley Hoops Festival at Parkland High School. McNamara becomes the fastest in school history to score 1,000 points, doing so in just 51 games.

2/08/00: Bishop Hannan avenges its only league loss of the '98-'99 season with a convincing 65-47 win over Riverside at the Scranton CYC. McNamara leads the attack with 28 points and 7 assists, and also sets a personal best for three-pointers, connecting on 7 in only 9 attempts.

2/29/00: In the district playoffs, McNamara leads Bishop Hannan with 25 points in a 63-45 victory over Old Forge at the University of Scranton.

3/03/00: Before a crowd of nearly 3,000 at the Long Center, McNamara scores 37 points as Hannan wins its second consecutive District 2 Class A title with a 79-71 victory over Seton Catholic.

3/14/00: In the second round of the PIAA state playoffs, Gerry scores 23 points in a 70-58 win over Faith Christian Academy.

3/21/00: Led by Gerry's 23 points, Bishop Hannan captures its second straight Class A Eastern State Championship with a 68-51 win over Scotland.

12/09/00: In the 2000-2001 season opener, Hannan avenges its losses to Kennedy Christian with a 65-53 victory as McNamara scores 19 points.

12/28/00: At the Stop DWI Holiday Tournament in Binghamton, New York, Gerry lights up Stow High School from Ohio for 32 points, including 22 in the second half. He and teammate Chris Flynn tie tournament records with 6 three-pointers apiece. Unfortunately, the Lancers lose at the buzzer, 81-78.

1/04/01: Against rival Bishop O'Hara, McNamara scores 27 points to lead Hannan to a tough 59-51 league win.

1/08/01: Gerry records a triple-double in a 67-60 win over Old Forge with 37 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. 27 of his points come in a second-half comeback by the Lancers, who trailed by as much as 11 in the third quarter.

1/12/01: Against first-half unbeaten Carbondale, McNamara pours in 36 points while pulling down 10 rebounds and dishing out 8 assists. The Lancers roll to a 77-69 victory and take sole possession of first place in the Lackawanna League Division II South.
